The dominance of Indomitable Lions of Cameroon over the Super Eagles of Nigeria continued today during an international friendly match between the two nations held in Austria.
A lackluster performance led to a goal from Zambo Anguissa arising from a poor clearance in the 18 yards box by the stand in captain, William Troose-Ekpong.
The goal exposed the weakness in the Super Eagles team as Maduka Okoye who was in goal for Nigeria was completely beaten by a well taken shot by Anguissa.
Although, the second have of the game produced a better performance for the Eagles with the introduction of Ahmed Musa and other relatively unknown players, the Cameroonians played with dominance and calm with their goalkeeper the busier among the two keepers.
The second game of the twin packaged friendly match geared towards the coming Afcon takes place next Tuesday. Nigeria and Cameroon are in the same group for the competition.
Tonight’s match marks the 13 friendly game under Geraht Roht as Nigeria’s coach, winning just one. Hopefully, the next game will see a better performance from the Super Eagles who were beaten finalists by Algeria at the last Afcon competition.
