A call has gone to members of the polytechnic community at the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro to imbibe the spirit behind Ramadan when Muslims denied themselves of all pleasures in order to serve God
This call was made by the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Olusegun Aluko in his congratulatory message to Muslim faithfuls within the campus in commemoration of this year’s Eid-el- Fitri.
The statement made available to the Inkline Times from the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Sola Abiala, reads; The Rector, Arc. Olusegun Olanrewaju Aluko, on behalf of the management team felicitates with with our Muslim faithful on the glorious end of this year’s Ramadan fast and the celebration of the Eid – el-Fitri.
“He is using this occasion to enjoin all of us to imbibe the spirit behind the Ramadan period when all Muslims denied themselves of all pleasures in other to serve God“.
While also praying for many more years of Ramadan celebrations, the Rector therefore prayed for the immediate to the global pandemic in Nigeria and the world at large.
As at the time of filling in this report, inklinetimes discovered that the annual eid prayers within the Polytechnic community did not take place in compliance with the directives of government.
