Members of School Two Social Club, Ilaro have distributed palliatives to communities in Ilaro township towards cushioning the effects of covid-19 pandemic in the community.
In a release from the club made available to inklinetimes, the club said it decided to embark on this welfare programme in order to reach out to the less privileged and the vulnerable ones so as to ease the pressure of lockdown on the people.
The distribution of food items which took place around School Two area in Orita, Ilaro was extended to Oke-Ola, Pahayi, Lower Mission and Oke-Ela areas of the town.
In the meantime, members of the club have continue to shower encomiums on the first registrar of the association and the rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Dr. Olusegun Aluko for his huge contributions towards the activities of the club.
While expressing appreciation to sponsors and members, the release from the club states ” we appreciate the pioneer Registrar, Arc O O Aluko for his huge contribution. We also thank our sponsors, the Registrar and the entire members for their support”.
School Two Social Club is one of the notable social associations reputed for its corporate functions and developmental programmes in Ilaro community. Comprising of who is who in the society, the club has continued to wax stronger since its inception over twenty years ago.
The distribution of palliatives which took place on Wednesday was led by the club’s registrar, Mr Ismail Ajose with other members at hand to to give their support.
