The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employee (NULGE) in Yewa South South Local Government area of Ogun State, Comrade Ademola Odugbemi has distributed 500 face masks to staff and political functionaries in the council.
Accompanied by members of his exco, Comrade Odugbemi said, the safety of and well being of Yewa south Local Government Staff is paramount to the union and the need to distribute the face masks to all staff without further delay.
Receiving the face masks on behalf of all political functionaries, the council Chairman, Alhaji Bode Fagbenro thanked NULGE for their support and also for doing the right thing at the right time. He however assured them of his administration support to the welfare of staff from time to time.
The Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), Mrs Iyabode Ayorinde while receing on behalf of the workforce, expressed his gratitude to the Comrade Odugbemi led NULGE for a job well done. She however urged the team to keep the good work going.
Meanwhile, encomiums have continued to come the way of Yewa South NULGE based on the way it has been able to manage staff welfare without division and acrimony.
Some of the staff who preferred anonimity disclosed that, what they met on ground in Ilaro is quite different from what was happening from where they are coming from. They therefore promised to work with the current leadership of NULGE in one accord.
Responding, Comrade Odugbemi urged members to see the union as one, assuring that, “injury to one, is injury to all. He also said that his administration is for all members without division irrespective of what the situation dictates.
The NULGE Chairman then called on members to continue in one accord and support the union in order to do more. While thanking the staff for their support, he also urged them to work harder in order to be rewarded and awarded.
Members of the exco that accompanied the chairman for the presentation were, Comrades Toriola Abeebay (Vice Chairman), Adeola Olasunmbo ( Treasurer) and Oderinlo Anuoluwa.
