Players and officials in the English Premier League have been ordered by the management of football in England not to shake hands ahead of this weekend’s league games.
According to a statement on Thursday, an indefinite ban has been placed on the traditional pre-match handshake by the Premier League, in response to the ongoing spread of the coronavirus.
In a related development, the Italian league Serie A matches have been ordered to be played behind the close doors to avoid further spread of the disease which is currently ravaging the Italian nation.
