The Transition committee chairman, Abeokuta south local government, Hon. Ayodeji Shomide has Solicited for the support and cooperation of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC) in addressing the issue of lives and properties of the people of the area.
In a release made available to the inklinetimes by the Director of Information of the Local Government, Lola Adeyinka, Hon Shomide maintained that, security measures should be put in place to keep the Area safer through the day and night patrol of Civil Defence Corps members.
While thanking the Divisional Officer of NSCDC for Aslg Area, Victor Oluwole-Philips and his team during their courtesy visit to his office at the Council Secretariat, Ake, the Council boss also stressed that, “there is need for a synergy between the local government and NSCDC in combating crimes in the Area”.
In his response, the Divisional Officer promised to do his best in attending to the request of the chairman in terms of security measures to save lives and properties of the people. Adding that, the council can assist them with Patrol Van and Motor Cycles in order to make their job easier.
