The Chairman of Ogun State Chapter, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Mr. Lekan Togunwa has described the death of the General Manager of the Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC) as a big loss to journalism practice in Nigeria.
Togunwa made this statement while reacting While reacting to the sudden death of the Late veteran journalist and thoroughbred professional. According to him, ” his death has created a lacuna in journalism practice in Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole”.
The Chairman of the image making body commiserated with his family, professional colleagues and the entire OGBC and OGTV families at large.
He expressed further that, “The death of Mr. Diji Akinhanmi came so sudden and caught all of us unawares, but what can we do than to take solace in God that the deceased is resting in the bosom of his maker”.
On his brief stay in office as the General Manager of OGBC, Togunwa explained that, “during his tenure as the GM of OGBC, Akinhanmi brought tremendous transformation to the station and particularly complemented the activities of the NIPR in the State, for which he would be sorely missed.
“We, therefore, pray God grants him eternal rest and give his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”, he added.
