The 2019 Annual General Meeting of a sociocultural group, Arabanbi Family has been described as a huge success.

Speaking at the General Assembly of the family over the weekend, a member of the family, Mr J. O. Omowunmi made this known in his speech.

According to him, ” with the level of the turnout as well as the degree of cooperation exhibited by members so far to the present exco, there’s no gainsaying that, the outing is a huge success”

Omowunmi however urged members to continue upholding good moral values in their places of work that will continue to portray the image of the family in a positive way, saying, “Arabanbi means leadership”, we must lead by example for others to follow.

He also charged members who are within government establishments to be more dedicated and obey the Public Service Rules to the letter from time to time, while charging those in private sector to be more committed and dedicated from time to time.

Continuing, Omowunmi added that as a social group, members must always take good care of their homes as no negative issues in that regards would be tolerated. He further charged them to ensure their financial obligations to Arabanbi family from time to time.

In his opening remarks, the General Overseer of the family, Alhaji Adeyinka Moruf (Murphy) thanked members for their unalloyed support from time to time, promising that the family would continue to contribute meaningfully to the development of Ilaro and Nigeria at large. He also admonished members to embrace love and help one another anytime the need arises, assuring them of greater things by the next AGM

On the issue of social responsibility, Engr Wale Ogunyinka urged the family to look more into programmes already planned and execute on time as a way of giving back to the society.

Mr Ismail Majeobaje on his own part appealed to members to improve on their relationship with members as well as people around them, most especially in their places of work.

The hallmark of the meeting was a visit to Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, where members visited the wild park and the cinema before rounding it off with a dinner.
