A female student of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro on Saturday fainted while on stand watching Nigerian hip hop sensational musician, Slim Case performed at the 2019 grand finale of the Students Union Government week.
The event occurred when Slim Case energetically stormed the stage to the delight of students who had waited for him and Ricardo Banks all day long.
Displaying a show of emotion, Slim Case drew the attention of the security personnel to the students while performing before the lady was quickly rescued and rushed to the school clinic for medical attention.
In an interview with Victoria Salami, the Public Relations Officer of the Students Union, Slim Case sad, “this is the first time I would be performing and someone faints at my show”.
While wishing the student soonest recovery, the artist thanked the Students Union for inviting him for the show, promising to come any other time he’s invited.
In the same vein, Ricardo Banks held the pavilion ground of the institution to a stand still with his skillfully performance.
Right from his arrival to the school led by Alhaji Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun (IBD), the students who had waited and beaten by the heavy rainfall showed excitement to the artist as he mounted the podium for the business of the day.
Ricardo Banks rendered some of his favourite songs with students following him with rapt attention and total joy.
In his closing remarks, the President of the Union, Comrade Femi Egunjobi thanked the students for their perseverance even when it seemed the show was on the verge of total collapse.
He also used the opportunity to appreciate the continuous support of the management to the students activities from time to time.
